Not every pregnancy or newborn story looks the same — yours doesn't have to fit a mold. Every session is planned around your comfort, mobility, and pace, including accommodations for sensory needs, medical considerations, or a baby who just isn't feeling cooperative that day. You'll never be rushed or asked to fake it for the camera.

From the moment you book, you're handed a clear roadmap, a style guide, a location guide, a day-of instruction sheet, and a real human answering your questions. No wondering what to wear, where to go, or what happens if baby arrives early.

Coexist Photography was built on the belief that every family deserves images that feel like them — including families navigating late-pregnancy mobility needs, medical considerations, sensory sensitivities, neurodivergence, or communication differences.
That can look like flexible session pacing with built-in breaks, seated or supported posing options, quiet warm-up time before the camera comes out, and a pre-session questionnaire — part of your booking journey — so accommodations are planned before you arrive, not improvised on the spot. For newborn sessions, that also means working entirely at baby's pace, with no pressure around feeding, soothing, or timing.

What should be worn for a session?
Just let me know either in your booking questionnaire or before you even book.
Sessions can be paced, adjusted, and planned around what your family actually needs.
What if my family has accessibility needs?
Frequently asked questions
Every collection includes mom, dad, and however many kids you've got - no extra fee, no headcount stress. Want to bring grandparents, aunts, or uncles into the mix too? Reach out and we'll set up an extended package so everyone fits.
How many people can be part of our session?
That's up to you — want to dance in the rain? If you're up for it, so am I! If not, no worries at all — we'll reschedule for the next soonest available time.
What if it rains or the weather doesn't cooperate?
Yes! Anywhere within about a 50-minute drive is included at no extra cost. Beyond that, travel is $50 per hour of drive time to the location, that covers gas and travel costs.
Do you travel outside the Sacramento area?
Both are offered at no price difference — it's entirely about what feels right for you. Many maternity and newborn families choose in-home for comfort and simplicity, especially in the final weeks or the first days home with baby; others prefer an on-location feel. The Location Guide walks through options so you can decide.
