I believe photography captures the most important parts of your story.

Not the perfect moments — but the meaningful ones.

After the unexpected loss of my brother, we had no idea how much photographs would matter. My sister had been married just days before he passed. At the time, they were simply wedding photos — smiles, silly faces, candid joy. But they became something so much more.

They became a gift.

The memories attached to each image help us remember the beauty we shared with him. The photographs didn’t change the pain, but they sprinkled moments of joy into the hardest days. What once documented the best day of my sister’s life became a reminder of a presence we would never have expected to lose.

As I grew in my photography, I once worked with a child with disabilities and quietly captured him as he played — unposed, completely himself. When I showed his grandmother the images, she was astonished. She saw the boy she knew so well reflected back to her in a way she hadn’t been able to capture before.

In that moment, I felt deep joy. I realized photography isn’t just about what we see — it’s about preserving how it feels.

I am reminded constantly that photography impacts families in ways you never expect.

Sometimes, all we are left with is the memory. And hopefully, the right photograph can bring back the joy, love, and life of that moment — exactly as it was.

That belief guides every session I photograph. My work is slow, intentional, and grounded in respect. I create space for families to show up as they are — without pressure, expectation, or judgment. There is no “right” way to exist in front of my camera. There is only your way.

I care deeply about your family’s memories, and I do not take the honor of capturing them lightly.
